Pacific Northwest Tour dates with McDougall

I’ll be heading up to the Pacific Northwest (mainly Oregon) for a couple shows at the beginning of February, check the shows page for details.  I believe we’ll also be doing a house concert Feb. 2nd in Seattle, if your in the area and want to come send me an email and I’ll forward you the details.  I love visiting Oregon/Washington and traveling/playing music with my dear friend McDougall.  It should be a wonderful little tour – stop by and say hi if your around.

Mother – July 30, 2010

When I was a kid I remember hearing that Glen Danzig would record people dying in hospitals as background tracks for his records.  Weather or not this is true, the idea alone was disturbing enough to leave a permanent imprint on my psyche.  As I grow older I find myself writing about experiences throughout my childhood, so covering the song Mother by Danzig felt natural.  Before recording the song I had been playing around with it for a couple weeks, once I sat down and pressed record it only took one pass to get this take.
